Tara brings a unique perspective to her yoga classes with influence from India where she trained in Ashtanga Yoga + Vinyasa Flow.
Her yoga classes focus on breath to movement, beginning with a gentle meditation, pranayama, working through a series of asanas and concluding with an extended savasana meditation. Many of her classes end with a Sound Bath experience.
Her Vinyasa Flow classes incorporate a foundation from Ashtanga, a dynamic and physically demanding practice that synchronizes breath and movement to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. Ashtanga yoga, with its many vinyasas, is great for building core strength and toning the body. Her flows work on breath to movement while building up to a peak energetic pose.
Tara’s Power Vinyasa is an energetic flow class at a faster pace. Classes are both heated and non-heated. The class focuses on warming the body, awakening the soul and getting the heart pumping. This full-body strength class will focus on areas like your core, chatarungas and building strength in all areas of the body. Includes dynamic flows with the ability to advance and deepen your practice. A great opportunity to add in advanced poses, if that is in your practice. Available to most levels with modifications as needed to intensify or moderate the practice.
Tara’s Mindful Vinyasa is a slower alternative to our Power Vinyasa (not necessarily easier!) Classes are both heated and non-heated. In this class you will hold poses longer and explore breath to movement on a deeper level. This Mindful Vinyasa flow is a moving meditation that builds strength and allows you to be aware on all levels; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
HIP HOP VINYASA
Tara’s Hip Hop Vinyasa is our Power Vinyasa set to Hip Hop, Pop and Modern Beats. Classes are both heated and non-heated. Louder tunes and stronger poses, with a whole lot of strength building, this class will be sure to keep you challenged. The energizing, upbeat music will inspire your body to flow and awaken. Available to all levels.
Tara’s Yin Yoga focuses on yin poses held longer to stretch the connective tissues helping us to relax into the deepest layers of the body. Yin helps regulate the flow of energy in the body. You will be sure to leave feeling calm, peaceful and balanced after this healing practice. Yin postures are mainly on the floor and the majority of the postures are held anywhere from 45 seconds to 5 minutes. The class will begin with a body and muscle warming and heart-opening vinyasa yang practice allowing energy to begin flowing in the body, followed by yin yoga. This class focuses on poses that promote relaxation, restoration and rejuvenation. Restorative poses help relieve the effects of chronic stress, including weakness and fatigue brought on by our daily fast paced activities. Available to all levels, and appropriate for beginners and those new to yoga. Expect a candle lit, zen inducing class, followed a relaxing Sound Bath.
